MEPARA - Meopham Active Retirement Association
Meopham Active Retirement association (Mepara), one of more than 70 such organisations in Kent, was set up at its inaugural meeting in the Village Hall on April 4th 1996.
Mepara, which has 180 members, plus a waiting list, provides a significantly valuable service to active
retirees, or over 50`s in the village & surrounding areas.
Organised speakers, or other suitable entertainments are arranged for our monthly meetings. Members also get the chance to meet with friends over tea and biscuits.
Arrangements for our regular activities are published on our notice board and in the Monthly Newsletter.
Day coach outings and various holidays at home and abroad are organised throughout the year.
Weekly Activities:- Keep-Fit, Line Dancing, Short/Long Mat Bowls, Table Tennis and Bridge are enjoyed, together with Monthly Rambles, Pub Lunches and various Theatre Trips and other social evenings.
