U3A - Gravesend
The U3A nationwide has been in existence for 25 years, existing for shared learning and leisure activities for people no longer in full time employment. We draw upon the knowledge, experiemce and skills of our own members for shared learning in a happy & informal manner.
At our local monthly meetings, we have thought provoking speakers, the opportunity to meet old and new friends, and at the same time discover the latest news about our regular interest groups, and forthcoming events and excursions.
Our present interest groups include Jazz Appreciation, French, Scrabble, Great Philosophers, English History, Scrabble, and Classical Music.
We have a lively programme of stimulating activities such as visits to art galleries and exhibitions, lunches, theatre, symphony concerts, monthly rambles and the less exertive strolls with visits to famous gardens and more.
We meet at 2.00pm second Friday of each month at Shears Green Community Centre, Westcott Avenue, Northfleet.
